Man is a Spirit, he has a Soul and he lives in a Body. There is however, a wide spectrum in the Spirit realm where a human spirit can occupy. None can be forced to stay on any point in the spectrum, it's all about choices and decisions!
Sad enough, the devil has deceived the human race for so long a time to believe that spiritual things are not real. He has labelled spiritual realities as fictions, superstitions, fables, and the likes, thereby, making us neglect, ignore and worse-still downplay them while they are in fact, the most important parts of our living and existence. 1 Thessalonians 5:5 says "Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness". The Spirit Spectrum, therefore has three strata (i.e regions composed of people with similar status). viz: -The Dark Stratum- Children of the Night -The Grey Stratum- Children of Dawn/ Twilight -The Light Stratum- Children of the Day The aim of this article is to help readers locate where they are in the Spirit Spectrum, and make adjustments if necessary. THE DARK STRATUM John 3:19 "...men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil" The dark stratum is made up of men whose deeds are evil. They are called the Children of the night and of darkness. There are three groups in this stratum, they are: 1. The Mere Sinner These are men living in deviance to God's set standard of living. It's worthy to note that men don't become sinners by their evil deeds, rather, their evil deeds are the manifestations of sin in them... they do those evil deeds because they are sinners. Take for example, a man didn't become a sinner because he stole, rather, he stole becuase he was a sinner. Evil deeds can further be divided into three categories, showing how established the individual is in sin. -Disobedience: These are acts that 'simply' violate God's commandments. For example, a man meets a lady on the streets, woos her and they both fornicate... they have disobeyed God. -Abomination: These are acts that not only violate God's commandments, even nature appeals against them. Take for example, a case of rape, a man sleeping with his own daughter or when a mother wants to marry her son... they sound strange, even to a natural man. (2Samuel 13). -Sacrilege: These are not only sinful acts, they challenge the majesty of God becuase the sin is brought into the house of God or the work of God. Take for example, when a Pastor begins to take advantage of Church members, or when an usher begins to steal from the offering... These acts challenge God's majesty, and attracts severe judgement from God. (Acts 5: 1-11). 2. The Occultic These are not just mere sinners, these are men who have entered into transactions with the devil. This include those who visit herbalists and false prophets in seeking solution and help, idol worshippers, the fetish, those who practise mysticism and magic among many others. 3. The Possessed These have not only signed an accord with the devil, there is a demon spirit dwelling in them, and controlling their life from within their spirits. The life they live is not theirs, they are agents of hell, serving as mediums for demon spirits to perpetrate their activities on earth through human bodies. Witches and lunatics fall in this category. Either ways, all these draw the wrath and anger of God, for the wages of sin is death (Romans 5: 12, Romans 6: 23). Those who dwell in the dark stratum know no peace (Isaiah 59: 7-8). But see what Bible says in Luke 1:78-79: "Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace" The good news is this: Jesus, the dayspring from on high came to call sinners to repentance (Luke 5: 32), he took your place, and died for your sins. Having paid the full price for your sins, all he wants is for you to draw near to him and renounce every accord with hell (James 4: 7-8). See what the Bible says in the following Scriptures: John 8:12- "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life" John 12:46- " [Jesus cried and said] I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness" Colossians 1:12-14 - "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Jesus): In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins" If hitherto, you have dwelt in the dark stratum, the Lord is calling you today to embrace the dayspring from on high; he wants you to repent from your evil deeds and accept Him into your heart so that He will purge you and cleanse you. If you are making this decision, say this short prayer. It is also needful to say these: -The occultic, having accepted Jesus as Lord and saviour MUST do away with occultic practices and materials, and will need the anointing to break every 'legal' transaction and accord signed with the devil, through deliverance ministration, in order to live in the freedom that Christ has purchased for him. (Read Acts 19: 18-19). -The possessed willing to accept Jesus as Lord and saviour, MUST FIRST renounce every form of membership/ partnership and break every covenant with the kingdom of darkness. The demon spirits in such a person MUST be ejected, (by the reason of the anointing through a deliverance ministration) before he can claim to be born again. (Isaiah 10: 27).
