The Words in Red

The words of Jesus has suffered attempts to silence it but has always prevailed. It is no lie that some men are at war with the words of Jesus, obviously because flesh and spirit will always be at war. From ordinary unbelievers to vast theologians, from common humans to philosophers, from ignoramuses to professors- several men have waged war against the words of Jesus.

Can a body survive without a heart? The answer is basically NO. Now, can the body of Christ survive without the heart of Christ? So also, NO I'm not a medical doctor so I can't explain to detail the answer to the first question but I can explain the answer to the second... When a church is no longer living by the heart of Christ, it has become a mere gathering of believers. What identifies a group is what brings them together. The only thing that can drive the church in the way God wants it is the desire of God, which comes from His heart. He could be very stern and blunt but at the same time very loving. He's dependable, reliable and trustworthy for whatever he says. He warns the lazy, encourages the timid and cares for the weak. He rebukes when He has to, He encourages when He needs to, and He does in the best way, what He has to do at the right time. Paul best describes His words as more powerful than two edged swords, John describes His mouth as having a flaming sword, of course referring to His words. For one thing, I love the King James Version of the Bible because it prints HIS words in red. His words were never sin-friendly, to the Pharisees of then and to the liberal churchgoers of now. His words are always sharp and strong; they were never cold. Jesus was at war when He was on earth and even in His absence, He's still being fought because light and darkness cannot stay together. Some say His words were meant for the Jews and not for the gentiles, thus excluding themselves from His stern instructions, this notwithstanding, every man will Judged by one standard, for Jews and gentiles according to Paul, are one. God ain't a racist and He has no favorites. All men shall stand before the white throne and shall be judged by one constitution, one law, one rule and one judge! Others say the first four books of the New Testament cannot be considered as New Testament because according to Hebrews, without the death of a testator, there's no testament. If they say the era wasn't New Testament, they would be right but if they say its content isn't New Testament, they're absolutely wrong. When the disciples asked JESUS to teach them how to pray in Luke 11, HE taught them to pray to GOD as their Father, that could not have happened in the old testament, it was only in the new testament that JESUS began to have brothers and sisters. Isn't is despicable that they believe the power to heal the sick, raise the dead, heal the blind, speak in new tongues are characteristics of the New Testament but the words of JESUS aren't. Due to their weaknesses, inabilities and pasts, they use their lives as a standpoint for the bible instead of using the bible as a standpoint for their lives. In the devil’s mission to mislead Christians, he has a ‘working’ strategy... He knows so well that if the gospel he will preach is not from the Bible, no child of GOD will believe it; he knows so well that if the doctrine has no bible references, he cannot persuade the elects of GOD, so, he finds a people and loads them with the parts of the BIBLE that are sweet to them and he makes them filter the parts that are hard for them. They ponder rightly on GOD’S unbelievable love and care but give little or no attention to GOD’s unimaginable hatred for sin and iniquity. They read the BIBLE from ‘Acts of the Apostles’ to ‘Jude’ but cannot dare to turn the next leaf. They are gripped with such a great fear that the wicked have. They take a deep sigh. They are afraid and greatly scared of what they will find. They are unsure what THAT MAN has to say to them. They know HE‘S there lying in wait for them as a lion awaits its enemies. They are never more fearful than this point when what they’ve believed could be shattered in a few seconds. This is indeed a wise saying, "The WORDS OF JESUS will always encourage you with the truth but will never comfort you with a lie". Thank GOD, JESUS will not let the church that HE built with suffering, pain, agony and shame be destroyed and corrupted in sin, immorality and evil. JESUS once again reminds them: ‘THIS IS MY CHURCH AND THE GATE OF HELL SHALL NEVER PREVAIL OVER IT.’ You’ll rather leave a house than try to modify its foundation. We have no need to run or hide from GOD at any time, whether we have disobeyed like Adam and Eve or we have failed like Elijah, GOD is a loving GOD and of many chances. HE does whatever He does for the best. One thing that might be hard to believe is that GOD loves us more than we can ever imagine but he hates sin more than we can also ever imagine. It will then be impossible for HIM to be at peace with us when we are at peace with sin. In Revelations 3:1-6, JESUS talks about a church in Sardis. HE says the church is well known for being active, they’re the most praised, they’re the most respected, they’re the most honored but as far as their Master is concerned, they’re ‘dead’. HE once again reminds us that what men say is relevant only in the midst of men, but what GOD says is imperative. If Christ were to write a letter to you today, what would HE say?

  • ‘You’re very hardworking and you’re doing what the master requires’

  • ‘You’re very hardworking but you are also very disobedient to do what the master requires’

  • ‘I know your works but you can do it better’

  • ‘You’ve stayed too long on this mountain, you shouldn’t be here’

Beloved, what would HE say? See, in the end, what matters is not how many awards you’ve received from the viewers but what complement you will receive from your producer. Again, if Jesus were to wriye a letter, what would HE write to the church in the 21st century? What is in HIS heart for the church today in the midst of the corruption that is eating it deep? What will ‘the words in red’say to us? We actually don’t need thunder from HEAVEN to hear what GOD has for us, many of what HE would like to tell us are already written in the Bible, however, many '21st century Christians' are just too negligent and stubborn. Whatever He says to you, HE has said out of love for you. Be humble enough to accept what CHRIST is saying to you in HIS word. Don’t ignore HIS instructions to stop. Don’t ignore HIS instructions to start. Don’t ignore His instructions to continue. GOD bless you.
