Text- Romans 8:28- “All things work together for good to them that love God, and to them that are called according to His purpose”
For the past seven days now, we have been discussing on the operational forces of life. I believe that this series has tremendously blessed you.
We have discussed on six of the seven operational forces of life – Wishes, Opinion, Influence, Authority, Power and Control. Today, we’ll talk about the seventh and the greatest operational force of life – WISDOM.
Wisdom is the ability to make cognizant decisions and judgments based on personal knowledge and experience. Bible hints in Ecclesiastes 10:10 that power may sometimes be useful, but wisdom is profitable to direct. In fact, Bible says that wisdom strengthens the wise more than ten mighty men which are in the city. (Ecclesiastes 7:19)
God created the earth by His great power, but all the systems of operations in it were founded at the instinct of His supreme wisdom (Jeremiah 10:12). In other words, power made the earth’s structure, but the content that makes it function and the substance that makes it endure was fashioned by Wisdom.
Talking about God’s hidden wisdom, Bible says: “None of the princes of this world knew it, for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory” (1 Corinthians 2:8).
When Jesus was being crucified, it looked like God had gone on a vacation, but that was the unraveling of the INFINITE WISDOM OF GOD! One minute, the devil thought to himself, “Finally, I am getting rid of this Jesus” shortly after, he heard an announcement: “O death where is thy sting, O grave, where is thy victory”
You see, God's wisdom is His Joker against the devil; it always catches him by surprise. As a child of God, whenever it looks like God has ‘gone on vacation’, maybe in your life or over your affairs, rest assured that God’s wisdom is definitely at play, and He is in perfect control.
Beloved, if only you can catch a glimpse of God’s infinite wisdom today, the tragedies of life will stop bothering you; you will just sit still, cross legged as it were, and watch as everything turns around for your good.
In conclusion, the infinite wisdom of God is very much coded; it takes the Holy Spirit to decode it to any mortal being. I’ll leave you with 1 Corinthians 2: 9-11 MSG:
“That’s why we have this Scripture text: ‘No one’s ever seen or heard anything like this, never so much as imagined anything quite like it—What God has arranged for those who love Him’. But you’ve seen and heard it because God by His Spirit has brought it all out into the open before you. The Spirit… dives into the depths of God, and brings out what God planned all along. Who knows what you’re thinking and planning except you yourself? The same with God—except that He not only knows what He’s thinking, but He lets us in
it by His Spirit”
PRAYERS
1. All things are working for my good in Jesus Name. What was intended to work against me will work for me.
2. Father, even in the tough situations of life, help me to trust wholly in your infinite wisdom.
3. Holy Spirit, please help me to catch a glimpse of God’s infinite wisdom today.
