How Sure Are You ?

1 John 9:38-39

"And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight." -KJV

Nicodemus was a well educated man and also a Pharisee (very religious), but yet he wasn't sure about his salvation and because of that reason, he secretly went to see Jesus one night.

The Bible doesn't talk much about Nicodemus again, but in the same Gospel of St John, 19:38-39, we can see the same Nicodemus joined with Joseph of Arimathaea to bury Jesus.

When it comes to the practical side of the law, Pharisees were the most righteous people. And Nicodemus was one of those most righteous people, but yet he wasn't sure about his salvation.

In our lives too, we have so many educated people, and so many religious people just like Nicodemus, but deep in their hearts, there are unlimited uncertainties. We are very religious people, and we read books, but yet we are not sure about our salvation.

Beloved! Salvation of your soul is not about someone's but your very life. Nicodemus knew about that, and that was the very reason he stepped out from religious and education pride to seek Jesus Christ.

You may have the money, the education, self righteousness, and be very religious but how sure that you going to in Heaven if this is your last day? Pride may cause you to ignore this question, but someday you will regret it.

Beloved! God wants you to be sure of your salvation before death. That's why He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die for your sins. Salvation is found in no one else but ONLY JESUS CHRIST. Do you know and have this Jesus Christ in your heart? If not, ask him to come into your heart right now.

Heavenly Father, I am a sinner who needs your forgiveness and mercy in Jesus Christ name. Jesus you are my Lord and Savior from this day to rest of my life, and fill me with the Holy Spirit that I will live a life pleasing to you..Amen.
