So many times we talk about the sinful lifestyles of those in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah and also those in the days of Noah, but what about now?
In the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, people turned their backs away from Lord God to worship materials (idolatry), which also included the sacrifice of their own children and also committing adultery, fornication, homosexualism, and even bestiality [sex with animals]. These were the life-styles the people of Noah's days lived with.
In that generation, there were few righteous preachers, and some that may not have even heard the Gospel message, yet that didn't spare any of them from God's Judgement.
To be honest with you, there was nothing that happened in the days of Noah, Sodom and Gomorrah that is new to our generation. In fact, this generation is more horrible because it is a generation that has been given more, yet plainly denied the righteousness of God.
We are in a generation of countless preachers of righteousness and very advanced technologies like TV, social media, Internet. Missionaries are everywhere with the message of God and His righteousness. Bible is preached and translated to every race in their own tongues.
Whenever we log on to our email, Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, or any other social networking site, we tend to find the message of God and His righteousness. When we switch on our computers or TV, we hear the message of God and His righteousness. Whenever we walk along our streets, we see messages of God and His righteousness on signboards. We are blessed with many universities, but sadly we only go there to seek earthly knowledge and not God. We are also blessed financially, sadly we never spend our monies to seek God or spread His word of love, but instead spend it on ourselves and sinful courses.
If God didn't spare the past generations which were given less or with very little, do you think God is going to spare this generation that has too much of everything?
Beloved! We count ourselves among the blessed generation, but I want to tell you this, it will be more bearable to the people of Noah's days, and those of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of Judgement than our generation. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Luke 12:48 KJV
"The people of Noah days and those of Sodom and Gomorrah, may have excuses or even repented if they have gotten what are available to this generation. But we in this too much plenty generation have no excuse from seeking the true God, and his righteousness that will lead us to repent and accept God and his Word, which is Christ Jesus."
