"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest part of the earth" (Acts 1:8 LEB).
When you got born again and received the Holy Spirit into your life, He came with His power (the power of God). The Holy Spirit is the Carrier of the power of the Godhead. He's the Operator and Implementer of things pertaining to God.
The day you received the Holy Ghost into your life was when you became powerful. Or when you became empowered with God's very own power. This is the power that brought forth creation into being. I know there are those Christians that believe that "power must change hands." Well, I don't know exchange between them and who. That is deception that will make them continue expecting to have what they already have. However, we are not among the bandwagon expecting "power exchange." We have the power of God in us through the Holy Spirit Who lives in us. We are not anointed because of any bottle of oil, handkerchief or towel that we move around with. We are anointed because of and by the Holy Spirit in us. With that power, we rule over the forces of darkness and establish the will of God in our lives and all that concerns us.
God's people are not a people looking for power; they are a people of the power of God. We are a people of authority. The Word of God tells us about the Lord Jesus;
"Who will transform our humble body to be conformed to his glorious body, in accordance with the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself" -Philippians 3:21 (LEB).
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus was able to subject ALL things to Himself. Part of Apostle Paul's prayer for the Ephesian believers was that the eyes of their hearts be enlightened so that they will know;
".... what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:" -Ephesians 3:19-21.
He is letting us know that the exceeding great power is in us and he is praying that the eyes of our understanding be enlightened so that we will see and be aware. This is the same power that God exerted when He raised the Lord Jesus back to life. WE ALREADY HAVE THAT POWER IN US. Hallelujah!
Therefore, we must use that power to be witnesses of the Lord Jesus. We have to represent Him on earth because He's gone to heaven and we are to continue His work on earth. I want you know that you are anointed by the Spirit of God. There is no need running around looking for all kinds of anointing; "double portion, triple portion, oil drinking, etc." Recognize the Lord's exceeding great anointing in you and yield to it by being submissive to the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.
With this divine power, nothing and no one will be strong enough to stand you. Why? It is because the power of the Creator is in you. Use it and stand your position in Christ Jesus. You're not ordinary. You are full of divinity. Take advantage of that divine blessing. Glory to God. God bless and keep you.
