Text- Isaiah 9:6 - "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace"
On this Christmas day, I dedicate this poem to Jesus Christ, My Lord and my Saviour
For unto us a Child is born
So that we won't forever burn
But that at the end of our sojourn
To the Father in heaven we'll return
'Cos of Calvary's work which He's done
For unto us Son is given
He's the Father's only begotten
He came that our sins might be forgiven
He gives rest to the heavy laden
And makes light our heavy burden
The government is upon His shoulder
He is great and mighty in power
His name is a very strong tower Oh Jesus!
He is the Answer
To Him, all praise we render
His Name is called Wonderful
His Name in Heaven is so beautiful
His Name in our mouths, very powerful
His Name in hell is much dreadful
His Name makes our heart so cheerful
His Name is called Counsellor
He guides us in all our endeavors
He helps us in times of horror
He sees us through life's rigor
Keeps us sane in moments of splendor
His Name is called mighty God
He is the high and lofty One
He is Christ- our solid Rock
He is crowned the Lord of lords
He loves us with an everlasting love
He is the everlasting Father
He's the unchanging Changer
He's the omnipotent Master He's our omnipresent Helper
He's our omniscient Teacher
Jesus, the Prince of Peace
He cures all our disease
He is the very God of increase
He's made us sit among kings
For His grace upon us,
He's released
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, as I celebrate your birth today, please let the realities of your person and of your finished works become evident in my life and experiences in Jesus Name.
