Daily Tonic || God Crowns The Year For Us

Text- Psalm 65:11 "You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.”

If you ever attended a boarding school, you must be familiar with the trend of financial buoyancy. First, comes the resumption period, when most students are still financially buoyant. As the session progresses, people start getting broke, and things become tight. By the end of session, everywhere becomes dry!

That’s the way we treat ourselves; we take the best first and leave the latter days to whatever remains; and because we don’t do better for ourselves, we somehow think God treats us the same way. So we have this funny idea that the last few months of the year (ember months) are full of evil.

Contrary to this notion, Bible says that God crowns the year for us with His goodness, and that His paths drips with abundance! Isn’t this amazing?

This was what we saw in the first ever miracle that Jesus did during his ministry. A miracle at a wedding where he turned water into wine:

“When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.” - (John 2:9-10)

Did you see that sentence, “You have kept the good wine until now”? Beloved, it doesn’t matter how January 1 up till today has been for you, I have come to announce to you that God has kept the good wine until now; He has saved the best for the last.

Don’t join the bandwagon to declare evil concerning your December. Agree with scriptures, and the eternal counsel of God that this year 2018 will be crowned with goodness for you, and that there’s going to be a release of abundance upon your life, your family, your career, your finances, your academics, and all the things that concern you.

At Cana, Jesus saved and served the best wine for a lasting impact! He is doing the same for you this December as we round off the year, 2018. Will you believe Him for it?

PRAYER

Father, I know you have saved the best for the last for me in this 2018. According to your word, crown my year with your goodness, and let your path drip with abundance for me in Jesus Name.
