Why Many Christians Don't Pray.

Prayer is a communication between you and God. For effective communications, there must be talking and listening; you talking to God while He listens, and then He talks to you and you listen.
Note: Prayer is not about telling your life histories to God, or complaining about your buts to Him. Remember, God has already done what he is supposed to do for you so It is up to you to step up in faith and claim those things He has done for you in Christ Jesus.
If we really know that God has already done what He supposed to do for us, we will boldly approach Him in confidence to claim those things as His children in Christ Jesus. Remember, when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said on that Cross, "it is finished", that shielded everything we needed.
1. One of the reasons we cannot pray is because we don't believe in the finished work of Christ Jesus on that Cross of Calvary. It is very impossible to pray when you don't believe.
2. In every communication there is a language for the two parties to understand each other. The prayer language of God is in His word (Bible). As a Christian, you have to have your own Bible, and must read it. You need to know and memorize the scriptures, because these are the words you going to fill your prayers with. Your enemy; the devil will not understand or care about your crying in your own words, but when you begin to use God's word, that's the time he listens and bows out.
When Jesus was tempted by Satan in the wilderness after his baptism, he defeated Satan with God's Word. So, who are you that can defeat and conquer Satan without the Word of God? Beloved, let no one fool you, you have to have your Bible, and you must read it. Without the word of God in your life, you will always be a toy in the hand of the Devil.
3. Sin stops us from praying. Years back, I sinned truly affected my spiritual life. It was difficult for me to pray or read my Bible. In church too, I was spiritually dry, and also very uncomfortable during services. This is why if you claim to be Christians and be comfortable in sin, you don't have Jesus Christ.
4. Is only in the name of Jesus Christ, God listens and answers our prayers. When you come before God in prayer, come in Jesus Christ. God answers our prayers because of what Jesus Christ did. Don't expect your prayers to be answered, when you are afraid or ashamed of mentioning Jesus Christ in your prayers.
Have Your Bible and Read It!
