The Lord sent Samuel to Jesse at Bethlehem to anoint one of his sons who will be King instead of King Saul. When Samuel arrived at Jesse's house, he brought seven (7) of his sons to passed before Samuel. Those seven sons got the outward looks of a king, but sadly none of them were chosen.
Then Samuel asked Jesse if he had another son. Jesse had even forgotten about David, his youngest son, who was shepherding in the bush. Shepherds were considered unclean people, and they lived outside of settlements. They can only be mixed with society during ceremonial cleansing.
People, including your own parents can forget about you, they will call you names, and some will even give you nasty identities. People are blinded to the potentials and greatest in you, but as the Lord spoke to Samuel, he is giving you the same words.
But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 KJV
Yes, you can be forgotten by people, they can give you all negative adjectives, but you, make your heart at peace with God in Christ Jesus. Is not about your outward looks, backgrounds, qualifications, incomes, or even the type of people around you, but about God in your heart.
