Being Spiritually Minded

Romans: 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
BEING SPIRITUALLY MINDED HAS TO DO WITH YOUR MIND BEING AWARE AND CONSCIOUS OF GOD AND HIS KINGDOM, AND SUBMITTING ITSELF TO THE WORD OF GOD BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Now this subject is mainly dealing with the mind of the believer, and not the spirit. He is not talking about being spiritual here; he is talking about being SPIRITUALLY MINDED. You became spiritual when you became born again and became alive to God in your spirit. But your mind is expected to synchronize with your born again spirit.
Man is a SPIRIT; he (man) has a SOUL and he lives in a house called the BODY. The spirit is where the real life of man is. With his spirit he makes contact (relates) with the spiritual realm. The soul consists of the mind, will and emotions. With his soul man makes contact with the soul (intellectual) realm. The body consists of the flesh, bones, marrow, lungs, heart, intestines, brain, etc. And with his body (his house) man makes contact with the physical (material) world. Your soul that contains the mind is the mediator between the spirit man and the body. That is to say your soul is the link between the spiritual realm and the physical realm. Therefore your soul is so vital in your Christian life.
Your soul can either synchronize with your spirit for good or with your body for evil. As a child of God, your spirit has the nature and character of God from the New birth. Now if your mind which is responsible for reasoning and making decisions is not programmed in the things of God, it will greatly hinder the spirit man in relaying spiritual things to the earth realm. So your mind must need work together with your spirit man to transfer the things of the spirit to the physical realm.
THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS COME TO LIVE AS ONE WITH OUR SPIRITS. SO WHEN HE MINISTERS TO THE SPIRIT MAN, THE MIND MUST ALIGN ITSELF WITH THE SPIRIT FOR THE REALIZATION OF THE THINGS THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT MINISTERS. Otherwise there's going to be a problem in your walk with God.
The mind of man has it's own desires and will that it always wants to fulfil. And these are desires that are by nature contrary to God. And so to start with, these evil desires have to be ejected from the mind first and fill it with the necessary materials that will help it to be in sync with the spirit man. The Bible tell us:
"Because carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be" (Romans 8:7).
And until the mind is spiritually minded, the spirit man cannot manifest those things on earth. This is because spiritual things are translated to the physical through the soul (mind).
Make up your mind today to fix your mind on God and His Word only.
