Daily Tonic || The Earnest Expectation

Text- Romans 8:19 – “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God”

Beloved, I want you to realize today that you are a trove of treasures. There is a load of divine deposits inside you that the whole of creation is waiting to see manifest; there are deposits of valuable and delightful things locked up within you that the world is waiting to see find expression.

A particular translation renders today’s text thus, “The strong desire of every living things is waiting with eager expectation for the manifestation of the sons of God”

There is an eager expectation for you to step up and take your place in the things of destiny; the fate of many other people’s divine destiny may hang on whether or not you get it right in the things of your own destiny.

It’s like what the Bile says about Joseph in Psalm 105:17-21

“He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him. The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:”

You see, God had great plans for the nation of Israel, but in order to preserve the destiny of the nation, God had to send Joseph ahead of them into the land of Egypt. Bible makes us understand that the journey was not so smooth for him… he was bound; he was hurt, but in the end his word came through.

Beloved, God has sent you ahead of a people, and there is an eager expectation for your word to come through. Don’t disappoint them; don’t disappoint God.

Even if things look rough and difficult at the moment, despair not; your word will come through. Every pain and limitation will surely vanish, and you will set your feet firmly in the place of your destiny, doing the things of destiny.

Somewhere along the line, while Joseph was on the road to becoming who God had ordained him to be, something interesting happened – He was tempted by his master’s wife; he had the opportunity to compromise and abort his divine process, but he would not.

He said in Genesis 39:9, “How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”

Beloved, flee from sin, and do not abort your divine process. There is an eager expectation for your manifestation!

PRAYER

Father, may I not disappoint the eager expectation for the manifestation of my divine destiny. My word will come through, and I will set my feet firmly in the place of my destiny, doing the things of destiny in Jesus Name.
