There was a pool by the sheep gate/market in Jerusalem called Bethesda. The pool used to have divine healing power and because of that, there lay a great multitude of impotent folks of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. At certain time of season, the Angel will trouble the water and the one who first to jump into, get healed of their sickness and diseases.
"And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me." John 5:7 KJV
Jesus asked the sick man, "do you want to be well? Instead of the sick man to answer "yes", he began to complain about the people that didn't help him; how he was unfairly treated by others.
That attitude of the sick man is very alive in our lives, in our country, and even in Africa. The question is not "what do you don't have, or who is not helping you, but what you want?" And is not also about what our colonial masters did to us or what our neighbors did to us, but what we want as a people.
You see! Sick people, poor people, and lazy people complain a lot. They don't know what they want and because of that, they keep complaining and accusing everyone around them or even those who miles away, for their failures and sickness.
Complaining and accusing others are never solutions to our present problems or situation. So, let us stop complaining, accusing, and stop focusing on what we don't have, rather focus on what we want.
Always remember, as long as you are complaining and accusing everyone, you will never move forward. The very reason black people and Africa are still poor is because we keep complaining and accusing our colonial masters.
Again, what do you want? If you can answer this question directly without complain or accuse anyone, you are on the path of success. And if you can identify what you want and follow those things, you will be whole in Jesus Christ name!.
