I have seen people with the name Jesus, and even in the Holy Bible, you have other Jesus, different from the Christ. But there is only one Jesus Christ the Bible talks about. Do you know this Jesus? If you do know him, who is he to you?
The Bible says Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah, the Savior), but throughout history, many people gave him different identities.
“Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas?
Matthew 13:55 NIV
One day Jesus was in his own hometown preaching and people were amazed. They began to ask how Jesus got his wisdom and also the miracle power. These people showed Jesus as one of their local common youths. For that reason, they were even able to trace his biography.
The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.” Matthew 21:11 NIV
On his triumphant entry to Jerusalem, when the crowds were shouting Hosanna, some people asked who was that. They answered " Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.
Again, you see how the people lower him. Prophet from Nazareth in Galilee. They knew his profession (prophet), and also gave him post office address (Nazareth, Galilee).
These people didn't believe that Jesus was the Christ, but instead one of their local man or one of the prophets. The question is, are you one of those who took Jesus to be one of the prophets or one of the local youths from Nazareth in Galilee?
