Christ In You, The Hope Of Glory

Updated: Jul 13, 2020

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" (Colossians 1:27).

Every Christian has been predestined by God to live a life of glory. When you came into Christ and Christ came in you, you became one with Him, His glory, and fullness. The Word of God tells us about Christ;

"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:" (Colossians 2:9-10).

The fullness (completeness, totality) of the Godhead dwells in Christ, but in a body (Jesus). And we have been made complete in that fullness of God. That fullness of God that makes Him Who He is, is in us by virtue of Christ's dwelling in us. We are not the ones trying to look for or pray for His glory to come on us; we already have it in us. We need to recognize this divine reality and walk in the light of it. Christ in us, the hope of glory. All the divine verities that we need have been made available in Christ in us. God has come to live in us in all His fullness. Apostle testified of the Lord Jesus saying,

"And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace" (John 1:16).

We have not received some part of Him or some things from Him; we have received all of His fullness. This is why we are not ordinary people. The Bible calls us 'Saviours from mount Zion.' Why? It is because as our Lord is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).

We have the splendour, excellencies, grace, power, nature, and manifestations of God in us. These realities need to affect our world. We cannot afford to live like helpless and needy people. We are the people of the King of the universe; a people of majesty and power. This is our heritage in Christ.

Hallelujah! God bless you.
