"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek" -Romans 1:16
The Word of God which we have and believe in, is the power of God for salvation to those that believe and accept what it talks about the Lord Jesus. Anyone in need of salvation needs the Word of God; nothing else.
All that pertains to life and godliness are wrapped up in the Word. Salvation_ which is an all-encompassing word beginning from the new birth, receiving the Holy Spirit and walking with Him and reaching maturity in Christ_ all stems from the Word of God. Apostle Peter tells us that we are;
"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you" -1 Peter 1:23-25.
If the Word of God has the power to bring a new life (God's life) into you, then it has no limitation. Why? It is because the power of God is unto salvation. Nothing can stand the power of God.
You need God's Word in all that has to do with you. It is strong, capable and powerful enough to build up and tremendously change all that has to do with you.
Apostle Paul declared to the elders of the Church at Ephesus,
"And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified" -Acts 20:32.
Proverbs 4:22 tells us that;
God's Words are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh. God's words are also medicine to our bodies. So, feed on the power of God (God's Word). Be loaded with God's Word in your heart daily. Never be too busy for God's Word. You will never know how much time you have for God until disaster strikes and God is the only way out.
